The technological objective is to improve current cotton fabric bleaching levels with significant savings in:
This could be possible through implementation of 3 different improvements:
· Laccase Pre-treatment enhanced with Ultrasounds, modifying cotton coloured compounds in order to be easily removed.
· Bleaching enhancement by ultrasounds, studying which configuration maximizes peroxide diffusion rates into cotton fibres.
· Produce hydrogen peroxide on-line, using wastewater lateral flow.
